This all reminds me of the $20k Z28 markup fiasco of 2 years ago. Now they can't give them away for $20k under sticker. Good luck with the 'stang.

They made over 3000 Z/28's - the R is a different story ~300 Built to date with total production estimates of about 5-600....

Honestly I was there getting a part for a truck and a guy rolled up in an "R" and I was talking to him about it. I know little about the Mustang and less about the "R" It was very cool, and during our chat the sales managers came out and joined us and told me they had 1 more allocation and would sell it for 5k over. I assume it would be a 16. We were standing in the parking lot and it was a pretty informal chat so who knows.

Just messing with the OP, having a little fun...actually, if a GT3 RS can be sold for a $100K over sticker, why should this "GT350R" not sell for well over sticker...that is if someone's willing to write the check. Heck, look at the Ford GT and what they're selling for these days.
If you don't ask you can't get it... GLWS!!!!
Lol, and I agree 100% with the serious part of your post. These things could end up being the next '68 KR in a few decades.

I lapped one at MRLS with the Ford rep. Its an absolutely magnificent car on the track. One of the best and most memorable I've driven. It makes you a hero.

There are only a handful of cars I've driven that were that natural and brilliant on the track - 458, R8 V8&V10, CLK 63BS. I would compare it to the Black Series with a harder edge.

Do you know of a regular GT350 allocation going for less than $5K? Let me know which dealer.

Thanks!

The GT350R laps the 'Ring in 7:32.19, quicker than the 991 GT3 RS. That is serious performance in anybody's book. No, it's not a Porsche. $69k MSRP
The standard GT350 is a little slower, but only costs $55k, including the track pack. With the magnetic shocks, ride is nice and that engine has a magical howl that really raises the goosebumps.

That time was never verified and Ford has never confirmed a ring time for the GT350. That time was a rumor at best.

Also, anything less than 10k ADM for an R should be bought on the spot. That's a great deal.

That is not an official website by any stretch. The GT350(R) doesn't have a published 'Ring time and the 991 GT3 RS is a Porsche claimed 7:20. The 997 GT3 RS is supposedly 7:33.

A 991 GT3 RS will lap MRLS within a second of a C7 Z06. A GT350R beat the Gen5 Z/28 at Chuckwilla by over a second. There is still a sizable gap between the two.
