Thumbs up Thinking about buying a used (2004-2006) Porsche Cayenne. Good idea?

I'm looking at purchasing a used 2004-2005 Cayenne. They are going for $9000-$20,000 CDN. Naturally aspirated 4.5 V8 on the lower end of the price and Turbo V8 near the high end.

I have not owned any Porsches before. So please tell me what I should look for when I go to check out these Porsches in person.

Any Porsche or Cayenne specific things to checkout.

Thanks

Google/look up the cooling pipes/hose issues that they have. Thermostats/cooling issues are one of the major areas on these.

If they are taken care of, they are a very reliable vehicle. (sound great too with that V8!)

I posted this in the Cayenne forum then someone moved it over here. I am confused too. I thought the Cayenne forum was the right place for this topic.

I will check those things out. I sent out an email asking some questions before I view them in person and I included what you mentioned.
