that is what I thought originally, but I have done a ton of research and people are not having issues with them at all. and my car will get even lighter

AG996LV is infamous around these parts
Do the cat bypass pipes change the sound? I have fabspeed mufflers already, and have considered the cat bypass but don't want to get much louder than what it already is. Is there much of a performance gain from getting rid of the cats?

the sound will be much louder without the cats(reports have been about as loud as a muffler bypass), and the only performance gain will be the weight reduction.

I have read from Fabspeed that there is performance gain, but no one has seen a DYNO from someone besides them. My main goal is the look of it and to be lighter.

I know it will be a little louder which would be ok by me!

A little lighter is always a plus, but to be almost as loud as muffler bypass pipes I think I would have to pass. The fabspeed mufflers themselves are loud enough for me. Thanks for the info, though, I guess I'm no longer considering cat-bypass pipes.

The cat bypass pipes change the sound on the car, but they're not loud. So far it's my favorite setup combined with the stock muffler. However, when using cat bypass pipes and muffler bypass pipes, the car is extremely loud.

I'm shopping for a complete exhaust system right now. If the deal goes through, I will sell my cat bypass pipes (as shown on the above pic) for a fair price.

By the way, on 6 months with them on my GT3, it has not thrown a cell light ever.
