Being a single molded piece, and tapered, I do not think there is anyway to make it fit into that spot above since it is square and this is more of a ummm, trapezoid? Make sense???

But hell, if you want it, I will sell it to ya (just not sure it will work for you)!
Hmm interesting.. I mean i have a dummy faceplate on the bottom center console but top spot, if i take it off its all empty but squarish, but how is it different from the one spot lower where the ac controls are

tsweat is infamous around these parts

See how it angles down, i.e. the top is wider than the bottom. The 'slot' above the very bottom one is a regular rectangle so its corners make 90-degree angles, where this does not. Make sense?

I moved my A/C controls myself. It was fairly easy, moving just one location should not take you more than 30 minutes I would suppose.

I also have the 'squared' surround piece that you can have too. But without my car, I can not guarantee that it fits flush. This piece is from my A/C surround, but it is from the top and has a beveled edge. So not 100% sure its what you need. Regardless, the trim piece is cheap at the dealer.

I believe the one you'll need is 996-552-253-01 (shelf instead of radio) and 996-552-673-02 (retainer bracket) and two 999-919-123-09 (screws).

The shelf alone is listed at $34 and change......
