2002 arctic silver/black C4S

i thought i would put an ad for my car since i am itching for a new car. i usually trade-in cars to the dealer. but if i can sell it ahead of time, i won't have to rush into buying a car right away and may get a little more.

the highest trade-in value i got was 53.5K 3 weeks ago from a porsche dealer. i will ask for 55K here. BBK private sale is 59.4 K and trade-in is 53.5k (excellent). the car is leased through PFS, so you will have to be local and willing to bear with their BS with me. i will post pics when i get home. i recently posted bunch of pics with the new wheels. please note that wheels not included in the price mentioned. thanks.

2002 arctic silver with slightly more than 19K miles
black interior
technic package include
full leather
Bose
6CD
single CD
dual power seats
small alum package
alum e-brake/shifter (placed after purchase with OEM)
Ruf paddles (installed by dealer)
ROW-M030 supsension (OEM parts installed by Andial)
OEM wheels without scratch/conti tires with 90-95% left (not been used)
B&M short shifter (installed by dealer)
recent oil service and 15k service
PPI done 5/05 without any issues
original warranty ends 3/06
extended porsche certifed for 2 more years

You do know that you would need to get at least $57,000 from a private party to equal the $53,500 your dealer offered you on trade, due to the credit for sales tax. You can probably carry that credit for a while with the dealer. It only makes financial sense if you are wanting cash in your hand and not the credit towards an eventual trade, which sounds like the case. Good luck!

IIRC, CA has a retarded law that states you pay sales tax on the value of your new ride, not new ride minus trade-in like most other states

am i right???

If that's the case, please ignore my previous post and move to Texas at once. California is entirely too expensive a place to inhabit.

no tax credit in CA. we also don't have to pay tax on the whole car, only on portions of the lease payments.

pics are here:

hi harold, your PM box is not accepting. so i will post the answer to your question:

it is a typo, expires 3/06.

the car has no problems. i had some rattles before but all fixed by dealer. real seal luckily has never been an issue. from what i know, the car has never been in an accident. i am the third owner. but the first owner was an old man who drove for 8k miles in slightly more than 2 years. i was told he had back problems. second owner had it until 13k miles and sold it to me. story of the car is well documented and i have all records.

paint has rock chips on front bumper. otherwise no dents or dings. i ran a carfax in 5/05 and no problems.

i asked the dealer to buy the car and lease it to me, that is why i got the certified warranty, but unfortunately got stuck with PFS.

lease take over not possible with porsche. it will be bought out from porsche and transfered to you. you will be responsible for the tax when register at the DMV, but has be done within 10 days of paying off the car. my actual pay off is higher than my selling price, so i will have to write a check too. i recently posted bunch of pics after getting new wheels under the 996 section.

i am in northridge, next to chattsworth which produces 80% of all ***** in the world.

thanks.

not really sure. i was thinking about selling them separately for aroud 4k since they are brand new with less than 500 miles. but i prob say an extra 2500 to go with the car. as an incentive!!
