Looking for a built engine/built 6spd car. A flex fuel car would be ideal, but if not I'd prefer one set up on e85 only. Tune by Emre would be the best. I'm impressed with the cars that AIM has built, so I'd probably like any that they'd worked on.
My current "fast" car is a 870whp e46 M3 with a built engine and turbo kit by Maximum PSI that I run on e85. It's violent. The thing is, I got to drive a GT3 on a track last year and knew I needed a 911. The 996 seems to be the perfect platform for me to meld my lust of high HP and new found love of Porche. This will be my first Porsche!
I have a Backdraft Racing Cobra replica that I'll be selling at some point so if someone wants to trade, you can ask about details on it.
I believe you're referring to the one in NJ? That was has stock internals. Thank you for pointing it out though. I appreciate that.
What's your budget? I may know of one. It isnt for sale, and he isnt on this forum. I know he would consider selling for the right price though. I think his build can handle 1500 whp, but its conservatively tuned to 1250 whp. Its on Syvecs standalone, and is a flex fuel car. Low miles. The car is done done, doesnt need a thing.

The price would have to be right...if so, I'll be looking for a PTS 991TT and then straight to AIM for the 850 kit.
Thank you for the replies! I'm away right now and can only use my cell phone but will try to search for those cars when I get back to my desk. I'm not sure what my budget is but 50s sounds reasonable. I'd like to get every box checked off and get the right car for me.

Good luck in your search OP.
Thank you for the info AMGo. I'm still in the learning stages here. I haven't seen exactly what I'm looking for, for sale. I admit I am a novice with these cars. I don't mean to offend anyone. I have personally built a couple of my M engines in my BMWs but I've never worked on a Porsche so I don't really know what's involved with them.

Thanks for the plug, I've toyed with the idea of selling and moving to an AIM/ES850R 991TT...but then I drive the 996 again and I'm content. The look/feel/sound/reliability of this car is finally where I wanted it to be when I started this process (all thanks the AIM and Emre!)

I think you are under-estimating that kind of a build. 996 TT are in the 50's-60's stock. Even if someone wanted to give their 1000hp 996 away, they would be in the 60's. I know you dont get back what you put into your mods, but it still counts for something. If you know what goes into building a Porsche to the 1XXX range, its not cheap by any means. You are talking upwards of 60k just in the build, not including the car. I just did this to my 997, so i know a little bit about it.
Good luck in your search OP.

Two very different price points, and two very different ownership experiences. Even with a great shop, it takes a lot of time and a lot of money to get to the point where everything is dialed in perfectly.
Thank you DSCOFF. I would be looking for the latter. And sounds like we drive with similar style. First thing I do when I get in my M3 is push the DSC button. I hope I didn't offend anyone with saying 50s sounds reasonable.
