History of the 335is
The 335is was produced exclusively for the North American market in somewhat limited numbers (~4,000 vehicles). From the production data I have found my vehicle appears to be one of eleven (1/11) 335is's produced in Titanium Silver Metallic, with the Coral Red interior, and a 6-speed (source data: https://i.imgur.com/EQPpF01.png). In addition to the limited production numbers, as far as I know, the 335is is the only North American exclusive BMW ever produced (i.e. this model wasn’t released in Europe). The manual transmission has an upgraded clutch compared to the regular 335i. Other changes compared to the 335i include stiffer engine mounts, a higher-flow exhaust system, an upgraded cooling system, a different steering wheel, sport seats and "335is" badging on dash and in the instrument cluster. Exterior differences are larger air openings in the front bumper, a rear bumper that incorporates a diffuser-style piece, black kidney grills, and 18-inch or 19-inch "Style 313" wheels.
The “3M” Goal
Although the short wheel base and bulldog-ish appearance of the 1M appealed to many people, I wasn’t one of them. Once I noticed that the 335is also had the 1M engine (N54B30T0) I knew what I wanted to do - create the “3M” - a marriage between the 1M and the E92 M3.
Mods
- Suspension/Handling
- Ohlins Road and Track Coilovers - these coilovers absolutely transformed the car, especially after being dialed in and set up by the guys at Texas Track Works (see pictures). They are amazing and highly recommended for dialing in vehicles if you are in the Dallas area.
- E92 M3 Limited Slip Differential - the 335is didn’t come with a LSD and although it was an expensive/difficult mod the E92 M3 LSD fits perfectly on this vehicle. In addition to gaining the LSD it also shortens the final drive making the torque feel even more pronounced when running through gears.
- E92 M3 rims and tires - the wider tires with the suspension helped take the turn in and handling to the next level. Sticking to the build goal of course we have authentic OEM e92 M3 competition package wheels and custom powder coated them in Speedway Grey, 40% gloss.
- Engine
- MHD tune with JB4 G5 piggyback
- Dual cone intake
- Cyba Air Scoops, black
- ER Charge Pipe
- VRSF Catless dp’s, ceramic coated
- VRSF 5” FMIC
- BMS Oil Catch Can
- Appearance
- M3 Rep Side Skirts
- Carbon Fiber Side Skirt Extensions
- Cyba 4.0 Dry Carbon Fiber Tips
- BMW OEM Gloss Black Kidney Grill
- Painted Side Markers
- Medium tinted tails
- 35% tint all around, windshield included
- Painted brake calipers, silver
This car was driven. I built the car to enjoy it, and that is exactly what I did. If you are looking for a show car this isn’t the car for you. However, if you want one of the best driving and handling cars for the money, with tasteful modifications, and expected wear and tear, this is your car. I have tried to be as transparent as possible by taking a significant amount of detailed pictures showing any imperfections on the car. You can access the pictures at the google drive link below, I have organized the pictures by angle/category. I have put a few in this post for those who don’t want to look at the 50+ pictures available.

That is all I can think of right now, thanks for your interest and I welcome questions. I will be most responsive to emails directed to jayokum@gmail.com.

totally not trying to be a jerk, just providing objective feedback but I sold an actual e90 m3 in a similarly rare color/option combo with 6MT for $18k this week and there are many others for sale around what you are asking for on m3post classifieds.
good luck with the ad either way, car looks very nice.

No offense taken and I appreciate the feedback. As any seller should be, I am open to reasonable offers.
I have tried hard to research pricing on m3post and autotempest to gauge the market for similar cars and don't feel my pricing is out of line given the work/maintenance performed.
