'01 TT for Sale
2001 TT (996 Turbo) for Sale
2001 996 TT Seal Grey metallic w/ Graphite Grey interior with 17,030 miles to date. Loaded with CF pkg, NAV, supple leather, heated seats and more! Original MSRP was $127,695 (window sticker included in pics). Car is pristine and completely stock. I realize that this may not be a big hit with most fellow 6speeders but at least you can modify it exactly the way you want!
Car is currently having its transmission replaced with a Porsche remanufactured unit due to the infamous 2nd gear pop so exact availability may be a week or so out. Car also has an extended warranty till 07/2009 which is covering the entire cost of this work - to the tune of nearly $11,000!
There are absolutely no other issues, mechanical or cosmetic, with the car whatsoever. Please contact me by email or PM if you're interested or need more details. Car is located in Colorado. My asking price is $67,400 and I hope this beauty finds a home within this amazing enthusiast community!
New pics added: Front shot shows the magic of Zaino stage 1 (Z1/Z5)! Rear three-quarters shot is my personal favorute (especially with spolier extended!). Interior shots showcase the beauty of CF! All images are high res. Click once on the thumnail, then click again in the new window to view in full detail.

Update and Rare Pics!
The uncertainty over whether the transmission fix will entail a local rebuild/repair or a complete tranny replacment was finally settled today! The rep. from the extended warranty examined the transmission internals and the dealer presented him with a complete invoice with their estimate for the cost of parts and repair associated with a transmission rebuild. The long and short of it was that the car will get a new transmission which will be ordered tomorrow with a possible completion date near the end of next week!
The engine has received a clean bill of health after replacment of the Turbo return line which showed evidence of a slight oil leak.
Some pictures of the engine and transmission for your viewing pleasure!
Here's a rear shot of the engine sitting on in its special stand:

Rarely seen shot of the engine from the transmission mount face:

Here's one showcasing the remote reservoir that reveals the GT1 racing heritage of the 996 Turbo engines - true dry sump, baby!

Shot of the transmission on its special stand:

Another shot of the tranny with the car in the background. Seriously compact for something that houses all 6 gears and the differential!

Here's a shot of the magnetic drain plug from the transmission showing what I believe to be an unusual amount of metal filings!

And lest I should forget, the new transmission and all the work associated with the swap will carry an additional 2 year Porsche warranty - not that it will be needed!

Jamie, thanks for the reminder on the break-in. I would suppose that the correct approach would be to follow the new car break-in procdure since that is intended primarily for drivetrain components anyway.
Tim, the work is being done by Porsche of Colorado Springs. Their senior tech has over 19 years of experience with Porsches and is very knowledgeable so I'm confident that it will be done correctly.
I've got my sights on a GT2, it being the natural progression and all!
That 993TT in Arena Red is a beauty!

Tranny swap has been completed and all checks/tests have passed with flying colors! Barring unforseen circumstances, sale to local buyer should be consummated this week.
Thanks to all who looked, commented and expressed interest. And thanks to the forum for providing a great platform for buyers and sellers alike! And lest I should forget, thanks to those that had a zillion questions (which was perfectly fine, BTW) but never followed up to indicate if they were still interested!
Only suggestion that I have for the administrators (or site managers) would be a separate board for "Cars for Sale" to provide better visibility for those selling such cars as opposed to those listing their chin splitters!
Car has been SOLD! Thanks for looking!
