I'm asking 11k for the car, with the nit-picky things fixed (bumper is a sligtly different shade then the rest of the car, it doesn't have a boost controller, but i can have one installed and the car dyno-tuned to about 300awhp, and reverse loses pressure, so I can have that fixed as well). I'm open to reasonable offers as well because I need a fairly quick sale.

This is your chance to own the ONLY AUTOMATIC AWD TWIN TURBO 3000GT (or Stealth) in the COUNTRY!!! You get the traction, safety and power of the VR4, and the benefit of cheap insurance because it's technically an SL model! The best of both worlds! It's the perfect daily driver car, and it gets mid 20 mpg!
I had this car custom converted earlier this summer, by Hans from Ground Zero Performance.
It was originally a 1991 3000GT automatic SL, converted to AWD, twin turbo, and remained automatic (there are NO OTHER AUTOMATIC AWD TWIN TURBO 3000GT's in the country). The car is COMPLETELY rust free, and aside from the chasis itself which has 175k, essentially everything mechanical on the car has 85,000 miles or less (including the subframe, suspension, etc). The AWD conversion was done VERY cleanly, with a factory fit and finish. The color is Nairobi Beige metallic, a very rare color, and the body is in very good condition, with very few, very minor scratches, and 2 dings on the entire car. The paint shines up very nicely, with no clear coat peeling anywhere.
I had a JDM automatic AWD transmission and transfercase shipped in from Canada with approximately 60,000 miles on it. It shifts just as it should, however, reverse loses pressure, so, it only works on a cold start, barely. We can work something out to have it repaired before pick-up if you'd like. But please contact me prior to bidding if you have any questions about this, otherwise I will assume you know that the transmission is not in perfect working condition, and are OK with it. Other than reverse, the car shifts and drives beautifully. It also has a brand new overdrive end clutch.
We kept my n/a 10:1 block and strapped on a set of stock 9b turbos. The bearings in the bottom end of the motor were replaced while we were in there, and the oil pressure is EXCELLENT. The car is at the shop getting new valve stem seals. It runs VERY strong, with absolutely NO issues what so ever.
The turbos are perfect, don't burn oil, boost just as they should, and have no shaft play (they were checked before installation).
The car dyno'd at 248AWHP at 7psi, a few weeks ago. We ran it to 12psi with no knock, but weren't recording the dyno run at the time. There is no boost controller currently in the car, as the one that I had was a POS manual, and wouldn't hold boost. With a boost controller set to 12psi, it should make around 300awhp.
The car also has a discontinued single-shot Greddy exhaust (throaty when you get on it, but nicely muffled while cruising around town), with a Stillen downpipe.
I daily drive the car, with absolutely no issues, and it is a complete BLAST to drive! Anyone who's driven it, or ridden in it is surprised at how quick it is, and how fun it is. It's a total sleeper (with the exception of the autometer boost gauge mounted on the drivers side a-pillar).
I also have a set of KYB GR2's and intrax lowering springs that will be installed on the car, a k&n air filter, and turbo front brakes (those will be installed sometime this week along with new valve stem seals, Hans has just been entirely too busy lately).
I'm putting the car up for sale because I will be using the money from this car to build a black 94TT that I have. I have more than my asking price invested in this car, and would love to see it go to an enthuiast who can appreciate the work done.
If you have absolutely ANY questions about this car or the conversion, please feel free to call me here at the shop, Or, you can E-mail me. I've owned and sold quite a few 3000GT's and Stealth's both on and off e-bay. I'm also including a link to my photobucket account with well over 100 pictures of the car, and the before, during, and after conversion progress.

I would also like to add, the car was in an accident by the previous owner, which for whatever reason, resulted in a rebuilt title. There is absolutely NO frame damage, or any frame repairs (we inspected the car completely while we were doing the custom conversion). There are a few dings in the hood where the banged it back down, the headlights are the original headlights (the same for the hood, with the original paint). The ONLY body panel that was replaced/repainted, was the front bumper, everything else is 100% original/original paint. The front frame in the engine bay was never repaired at all, and is perfectly straight... which indicates that the accident was not major, but since the car was so old and the value/repairs ratio was so close, it resulted in a rebuilt title. It now has a clean Pennsylvania title.

ok, a vr4 is all wheel drive, all wheel steering (not something that really makes a huge difference in handling, but it's a cool feature), twin turbo (8.5:1 compression motor), and ONLY came with manual transmissions (5spd for 91-93, and 6spd from 94-99)
Now, my car, is all wheel drive, with an all wheel steering delete "kit" (it started out as a FWD non turbo, those didn't have the AWS). We welded in the subframe mounting points from my vr4 parts car, and mounted in the AWD subframes... converting it to AWD.
Over in Japan, even the non turbo models came as AWD... we were the only country to get FWD. So, in Japan, their non turbo awd models, had an optional automatic drivetrain. All of their vr-4's were also ONLY manual. So, I had one of the non turbo awd transmissions, and transfercases shipped here through canada. We had to weld on the front section of the driveshaft (which was still in the transfercase), to a US spec 5spd driveshaft. Because the gear ratios are different in the automatic all wheel drive, we had to use the US spec 6spd rear differential (overseas, they had different gearing in their 6spds... MR gearing was shorter than here in the US). So, we installed that rear diff, did some modifications to make it all fit, and Ta-DA!
We had the first automatic all wheel drive twin turbo (re: vr4 conversion) in the country. Now, because we used my original non-turbo motor (10:1 compression, but essentially the same as the vr4 motor, but with some minor differences in the compression and heads), it makes more power at the same boost as a genuine vr4 (running 8.5:1 compression). Since I'm only running wastegate pressure (which is about 7psi), we tuned it to about 248awhp. We datalogged it with no signs of knock up to 12psi, which should produce close to 300awhp with just a boost controller.
The internals of the auto awd transmission are IDENTICAL to the internals of the Eclipse GSX automatic transmission. Unfortunately, they aren't the strongest internals, so hard driving/racing and launching will result in a dead tranmission shortly after
However, for ~3k you can have a race built transmission that is pretty much guaranteed bullet proof... for over 1000awhp, blah de blah. All they do is build race transmissions for the worlds fastest DSM's (running 8's and lower if I'm not mistaken).I hope that helped clear up your questions??

Selling point... you get all the power and traction of the vr4, and it's still easy on the leg driving in traffic... it's actually surprisingly fun to drive. Everyone of my friends laughed at me for doing it, but once they drove it, they all had that stupid smile on their face
And/or if you have a bad knee or something... you can still have all the benefits of the vr4, without the aches and paints
The other selling point... my insurance on it is $300/6 months because it's the SL model, for a vr4, is about 4 times that much. And it's the only one in the country, and the only awd twin turbo automatic SL model in the world
