i'm not in the mini market and have no idea about pricing but is this the typical price for a used mini....$4K off on a 1-2 yr old model with 17.5K on the clock?

Again, just trying to udnerstand the market, not questioning your ethics

I've been keeping my finger on the pulse of the Mini market for 2 years now. Dealers are still trying to convince people that used Minis should cost as much as new minis. In fact, I don't know of any L.A. area dealers that sell new minis at sticker.

However, if you go to the private market, you can generally get a great deal. Not to kill SKX's thread, but a realistic price for this vehicle, equipped as it is, would be $22,000-$24,000 depending on your negotiating skills and the condition of the vehicle.

Max,
I have an '05 MC S JCW - with sunroof. I drive the car everyday, and it's a blast. I'm 6'4" and around 240#. I have had to adjust to the Italian driving position in general b/c of my height, but in the Cooper, I don't even put my seat all the way back. More room for the driver than just about anything else I've driven, except maybe (maybe!) a Mercedes 4 door sedan. More room than my 3/4 ton Dodge Ram, actually. I had to bolt my Kirkey racing seat to the floor of my 951 race car due to height/helmet issues, but I could drive the Mini with my helmet on, stock seats.
Regards,
N

I also get those same comments..."you fit in there?" I'm 6' tall, 220lbs. and feel more comfortable in my MINI than my wife's Lexus.

I'm going to have to go sit in one of those, I am 6'4" 246# as well and their are alot of cars I like that I just can't get in, BMW Z-3 not even close, But I had a Honda S2000 and I was able to fit in there (barely) go figure, My 996TT I have the seat all the way back and down and have zero room for a Helmet. Do the GT2 seats allow for more head room?.

If you can fit in a P car than you can fit in a MINI without any problem.
