Valentine Radar Installers in the SoCal area?

I'd appreciate any recommendations on an experienced Valentine radar installer in the SoCal (preferably OC) area for my 997S. I have not been able to find any recommendations through searching the forums.

I'm currently on the waiting list from Valentine for a refurbished radar, and I'd like to line up an installer to do a hardwire, stealth install for my 997S and my S2000.

Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

I'd think any alarm/audio shop would give it a go but there are limits on how stealthy you can make it as it needs clear front and rear visibility.

Thanks for the response Chris. I realize my stealth options are limited, but the stealth I am looking for relates more to the stealth display accessory.

What's most important to me, however, is making sure the installer has worked on installing a Valentine on a 997 before so mine is not his first try.

There's really nothing special about the V1, all it is really is a couple of boxes with phone cable run between them. Your options are limited with the remote display, you can stick it on the steering column, in a cubby, on the dash or down by your knee under the console, not are perfect in every way. Then there's the mirror of course but as I just realized we discussed that already.

I didn't know a rear-view mirror install was an option for the 997 -- I've only seen it discussed for the 996. Any local installers who could do the rear-view mirror install would be preferred.

I haven't tried a 997 mirror but I very much doubt it is much different to the 996 and Boxster ones once it's in pieces.

Call The Audio Pros at 818-508-8000 and ask for Vache. Tell him Sami sent you and he'll take care of you even more...

I had my car car (996 turbo) done there and he does an amazing job (very pedantic). He works on all exotics...

Thanks,

I ended up going with someone local, Ansen (audimods@yahoo.com, agravic on eBay) who could do both my S2000 and my 997S at the same time, and who offered a modified interface for the V1.

He installed a "thin" version of the Concealed Display, with an added mute button behind my turn signal lever, for ease of use. The cost for installing on the Porsche, including the cost of his modified display, was $150. I'm happy with the installation, the thinness of the display, and especially happy with the added mute button behind my turn signal lever.

Here are some pictures (the picture showing the width of his modified Concealed Display is from my S2000).

The mute button on the lever makes it all worth it.

I'm a little suprised he leaves the jack plug on, I did something similar but with a trailing wire, it makes the display thinner still, only about a 3/8" and it can be mounted on any flat surface then.
