Thank you - that's very helpful--LOL! You obviously haven't tried to buy one lately...

I called on about 25 of them today. Checked ebay, dupont, cars.com, trader, Ford GT Forums, and even meta searched craigslist nation-wide, and most in the market price range ($140 - $165k) are just brokers that don't have actual cars for sale, or they are yellow.

 

uh ya ok, your right i havent tried to buy one. however, if you are serious pm me and iwill get you in touch with my dealer friend who can have you one within 48 hours to your door. if not good luck.

 

Momentum Porsche in Houston have a Black one with Silver decals in their showroom I was checking it out on Wednesday. 1400 miles $174k, looked awesome, not sure on options though.

I noticed it is also listed on Cars.com with another dealer and listed for less than I was quoted from Cats. Cats maybe be on to something here - looks like it could be possible to build a web site and screw the Brick and Morter, or even buying inventory -- just list other dealers inventory for sale

 

There seems to be a strange thing going on in the Ford GT market lately. One of my Lotus customers bought the last blue one from a dealer in Hawaii for around 225k. We searched for a week calling around looking for his car. It's a sellers market right now. I was out driving a friend's Ford GT and we got a call from his dealer, she offered to buy the car over MSRP back from him. He paid MSRP for it. The dealer said that there are no more cars available except what's leftover at the factory and they are selling those direct for 150k over sticker. I don't know if this is 100% true or not, but I was there when my friend got this call. This was two weeks ago. Good luck.

 

roy cats is a broker...most of the cars are not in his inventory, rather owned by private owners and left at their houses.

I really want one but I have to wait another 12 months I hope the prices don't go crazy. At least stay around 150ish!

 

I sold mine for 165K (I did have about 10K in aftermarket on it though). Got it for sticker for 152K over a year ago. It had just over 2K miles. The GT market is definately going up.
