I guess i'm not looking to trade badly, unless something comes up that sparks my interest. There are a few 997/S, CaymanS, ExigeS etc etc out there.. .guess we'll see if anyone PMs me = )

you can fit 3 ppl in a elise/exige if the need arises

Kevin, I don't have a car to trade with you, but I think if you hold out, you'll find somebody willing to trade you a 996 GT3 for your car plus a little bit of cash (nothing too crazy). There are more people that are "forced" to make a move to a bigger car (family, work, etc.) than the other way around. For now, you are still driving the best all-around sedan (IMO) out there. The 996 GT3 is a great choice (and I'd take it over a Cayman S and many of the other choices thrown out there). Unless you want to pony up more $$ and get a used GT2, stick with your objective... somebody will jump.

Good luck on the continuing search. I've been driving my 996GT3 daily around LA for the past 5 months and have put about 5000 miles on it in that time. As it sounds like you understand, it is a hugely different proposition for real, city-based daily-driver usage from an M5 or even a TT. Of course, the sense of occasion that accompanies each twist of the key is truly something special. Let me know if you're up around LA and interested in a drive.
