It depends on the tuning and what other mods have been done to the car, but most say 450-500awhp.

You can run it with the 1 bar program just fine but you will get more power from a K16/24 or K24 program (1.2 bar). You will also benefit from a free flowing exhaust. Upgraded wastegates are also worthwhile, but you (or I) can adjust these to 12psi and that will be a good improvement over stock. Most people upgrade clutches but if your stock one is in excellent shape and you exercise "mechanical empathy" it can last for a while.

They are a direct swap with your current turbos. There are no special items required. Your oem gaskets are reusable as long as they are not damaged. All you need are tools and a full day to do the work.

They have new centers in refinished housings. No core payment or return required so you can keep (or sell) your current turbos.

Also who did the work and how many miles before the refurbishment?

As of this morning they are still available. I do not know if the supplier is the same as the manufacturer but will try to find out.

I don't think there is a way to find out how many miles the housings had but since they are cast metal parts it shouldn't make a difference...they are non-wear, non-moving parts so they are either within spec or not. Tolerances are small and they won't use parts that are not within spec. This sort of brings up another point: the 996TT KKK turbos are extremely reliable. Has anyone ever heard of a failure? I know of one, but it was impact/crash related.

The came from Performance Techniques. http://www.proturbo.com

45otto- if you need a warranty then you should probably not seek aftermarket performance parts and stick with factory parts installed by Porsche trained technicians.

Question

are these the same turbos ("K24 Turbo chargers") that they offer on the tuner sites like iA, EVO, and other companies?

They are not K24 turbochargers but instead a hybrid using the stock 996TT K16 turbine and GT2 K24 compressor.

If I wouldn't have bought some k16/k24 hybrids, you would have my money by now. Someone jump all over these so I can stop thinking...
