No, you will re-use your stock tips. I sold the car the exhaust was on.

How old is this unit? How many miles? I ask because I know for a fact that the stock tips do not fit on the current 70mm MaxspeedMotorsport exhaust. I think the stock units are 62.5MM.

It is almost new. Only about 800 miles on it. I had X54 tips and yes it is 70mm, they fit well but I guess they we larger ones not the 62.5mm.

OK, so what happened to the tips that came w/it? Maxspeed includes the tips cause the stock ones don't fit. I don't think they will sell you just the tips. Stock system (and tips) are 62.5mm, all Masxspeed are 70mm so you can see there's no way to make them fit. Per the Maxspeed Home page "Mufflers with 200 Cell catalytic Converters and Quad Exhaust Tips". You say yours are 100 cell cats? Please explain.
Thanks

Tips went back on the stock exhaust. I tack weld my tips on all my exhaust systems. I was told they were 100 cell cats. I will check on that. I believe this is the same system as the DGI. The quality of the welds are great. Plus for the price, I am sure you could solve your tip issue. Not to mention Maxspeed is great to deal with and would probably sell you just tips.

I sent them an e-mail. The exhaust without the tips is not usable to me. I'll let you know.

We have installed this system, you can make either set of tips work... and for 850.00 I think you could come up with a solution. Just my 0.2

Did you look at the two of them? Lets see, both Asian made, 70mm tips, intergrated cats, two piece design. Both with silly names, and sold by re-sellers not the manufacturer. Not saying it is bad, but if it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck.....

IJeremy, how do you get a 62.5mm tip to fit a 70mm pipe and not restrict the size?

Cut and weld... Easier said than done I suppose if you aren't use to working with your hands.

Or you don't have a welder or easy access to one...plus I'm still wondering how you're going to get a 62.5mm pipe around the outside of a 70mm pipe? I'm not into butchering anything I do to my 996tt, just me I guess.
