btw..how well does the stock navigation system work? is it very user friendly? or is it a PITA?

the nav unit works like is is supposed too. I put a destination in and it takes me right to it. I am sure there are prettier or more user friendly but not a factory unit that fits in at this price...........

OEM NAV's are great... i have a Retro-fitted PCM II... this is a PCM I so it iwll only fit 99-2002... After that is PCM II (03-05) which is MOST

Tom, I'm interested. Did you write what you are looking for price wise for the navigation system? Any ideas on degree of difficulty in retrofitting the system to a 2002 996TT X-50 that did not come with the navi option? Do you know the weight of the system?
