FS:Bilstein PSS10 DamptronCoilover Kit/Shocks for PASM Porsche 997 C2 S 2005 - 2008
FS:Bilstein PSS10 DamptronCoilover Kit/Shocks for PASM Porsche 997 C2 S 2005 - 2008
I bought this suspension from Vivid Racing in late July, ’08 for my 997S (see photo of invoice). It was installed in mid-August, and was only on my car for two weeks when I decided to sell it. I wasn’t expecting to sell my C2S (otherwise I would not have spent the money for PSS10’s).
The components are flawless and virtually new, not a scratch. They have less then 100 street miles on them (I don’t track my car). They will come in the original box and packing materials, with all installation books, wrenches, and cables. If you look at Vivid Racing’s website, you’ll see that the system retails for over $3,700, and that their sales price is 2,699.00.
The kit does NOT come with the upper factory mounts (see the two shocks on the right in photo 1). However, I will include them and assemble for an additional $100. It’s well worth it so that they are ready to bolt right in. No need to disassemble and allows you to sell your old struts.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 713 805 9035. Looking to get $2,000.
The following Bilstein info is from Vivid Racing website:
Utilizing Bilstein's monotube shock absorber design for heat dissipation and ride control, the PSS10 Coil-Over System, evolved from the PSS9 system, adds a matched performance spring and threaded ride height adjuster to provide a complete suspension system for your vehicle.
The Bilstein PSS10 Coil-Over System offers infinite vehicle adjustment settings and includes adjusters at the base of the shock body which allow you to adjust ride and height. Set your vehicle low and tight for optimized performance or revert to a more stock-like ride height and handling characteristics.
This system features both coil-over and standard monotube gas pressure shocks with performance level valving along with application specific, progressive rate coil springs. Ride height adjustments can be made on the vehicle without removing the suspension. The solid aluminum spring seat and lock nut allow a selective adjustment of the vehicle's ride height. Spring travel and vehicle body height change, but the spring seat remains pre-loaded throughout the allowable range of adjustment.

FYI - They are not PSS10, they are Damptronics. PSS10 are 10-way adjustable for non-PASM cars. Damptronics are for PASM and therefore are "infinitely" adjustable via the computer. It's Ironic that Vivid and others confuse this. About 6 months ago I was talking with the head engineer from Bilstein USA about Damptronics and PSS10 and he said "Yah, for some reason consumers and dealers keep getting it mixed up..."
Here's the info from Bilstein's website, where you can see the Damptronic specifications as well as the PSS9 and 10:
