FS: T/A Style 996TT Carbon Fiber/Seal Grey Wing
FS: T/A Style 996TT Carbon Fiber/Seal Grey Wing
Aloha All...
I am selling the Tech Art "style" carbon fiber/Seal Grey wing from my recently sold 996TT. The wing is in perfect condition. I purchased the wing for $650 without paint and spent another $200 for paint. As you can see in the pics, a little carbon fiber reveal was left. Clear coat was sprayed over the entire surface. I just felt that the carbon fiber stuck out too much unpainted. The removal wrench is included. The wing is incredibly light and works flawlessly.
Asking $650 shipped anywhere in the US.

I just bought the same wing, and basically did the same thing with the paint except just left the entire top blade CF and painted the black gloss underside. Bump for a nice piece.
It's very easy and only takes about 10 minutes. The wing comes with what I believe is called a "spanner" tool which is used to unlock and swivel the piston. Using the wrench, the piston is turned 180 degrees IIRC which detaches the wing. Then you simply use a 14 mm (again IIRC) allen wrench or hex head to loosen the attachment piece from the OEM wing. Transfer the same piece to the new wing and reattach the assembly to the pistons.
