Yes it will work just fine. Simply transfer the eGas throttle body from your old engine to the new engine. Your ECU only cars about the Throttle body. The engine could care less whether the throttle is opened by wire or via a solenoid

I've been told it will only work with the Non-eGas, cable throttle. I know it is very hard to put Egas into a non-Egas car, but it may not be as much trouble in reverse.

Not sure about updates - dealer said there were several, but I don't think Porsche will publish due to the fact they were corrections to minor issues. Most importantly is the liner/bore update.

Motor runs great!

Trust me. My car is a 1999 996 C2 which are all Throttle Cable, my engine has been upgraded to a 2003 3.6 (originally egas) using the originall throttle body from the old 3.4 motor.

Should widen your market.

Someone Make me an offer!

My shop just reminded me I had the motor there! I'd like to cash in on this old piggy bank. This motor is like new! I hate dealing withthe ebay crazies, but I may have no choice if there are no takers here. Last chance......again
