Have some Porsche Sport Exhaust PSE Style Mufflers for the 997. These are factory mufflers customized to sound like PSE without all the vacuum hoses and wiring. I'm running the same mufflers and the sound is sensational. The before and after in the cabin are almost identical sound levels. You can comfortably make a phone call, listen to the stereo at low levels or have a normal conversation with a passenger. After trying out aftermarket exhaust systems and deciding they were excessively too loud for normal driving speeds, decided to put these on the car. Best decision made. On start up, you can hear the mufflers rumble. The sound of the exhaust can be heard comfortably at most driving speeds and at WOT kicks in. This should be the way Porsche comes from the factory.
