Steering Wheel

This one looks factory only painted where it used to be carbon fiber.

Edwin, I have a CF wheel that has cracks in the clearcoat so it might be a good candidate for this, especially with your paint guy connections.

Edwin, the wheel in the pic looks like alum. options wheel from factory. You can try site sponsor to order it. If you interest with used OEM CF wheel or OEM normal wheel for re-wrap project. Let me know, I have one of each in my garage.

Chris, I thought about that when I came by your place to get the exhaust tips. My guy will need to peel off the cracks and put fiberglass on it. I'm not sure if he has that level of skill to do it

Thanks Ray. Got any pics of the CF one?

No need to go to that much effort. Leave the clear coat intact, just sand it smooth, fill any remaining cracks with epoxy, resand, prep and paint. Sort of a shame to paint over CF, but not if you like the solid color.

Chris,

How much are you selling it for? I'll ask Jaime if he's dealt with Epoxy before. Also, have you instaled your turbos yet? I am going in next week hopefully to get mine done. A friend hooked me up with a great price that's at least 20% cheaper than anywhere else and this mechanic is extremely talented. I'll let you know how my install goes.

Epoxy is what I was thinking, but any standard filler of his choice. I would go with his recommendations since he works with these materials daily. I'll pm you my price (don't want to incite rage among the other wheel classifieds).

Have I installed my turbos? Heck, I can't even decide which ones to install. At this point, I don't know if I'll ever get around to it. But I do think about it daily...does that count?

Chris,

I'll think about the steering wheel. Have to talk to Jaime to see if he can work on it.

Btw, I'm getting my turbos installed this week. Can't wait!!
