I have taken the Larini Cats off my supercharged AMV8 because they threw codes P0430 and P0420(Cat efficiency below threshold) ever few hundred miles. I was told this may be due to the unexpected high volume of exhaust flow generated by the supercharger. Even still, I cannot guarantee that they will work on a normally aspirated car. What I can verify is that they are worth 20RWHP and 10RWTQ on my car.

Anyone thinking about making more power for their AMv8(like everyone!) these cats make both low and high end difference. I put a set on my 360 a few years ago and think at least another 5 sets got sold by riding in my car or hearing about it from mutual friends. Killer deal, as it sounds like they can be had for a good price. No affiliation btw.

 

I had a similar problem on my 997 with my high flow cats, I installed a set of these extensions and it seems to be the answer. You might be able to fix your problems with a similar solution.
