just blew mine a couple of weeks ago. block is cracked dont know what to. does anyone have any suggestion or an engine

Can I ask why? This is why they make all the money that we earn the hard way. Because people are fearful of making claims. Or do you already have a bunch of claims. Then I guess but i'd always try.
18g is pretty good, I know a new one is around or north of 25g.
total repair cost would be some where north of $20,000. its better for them just to salvage her. thats what they told me, its either salvage or fix it myself

A pothole? An it didn't damage the wheels, rear end, etc, etc? Man....
I actually broke a wheel on 680 over by Pleasanton,CA ... took pictures, sent it to the state with a claim for a new wheel. They paid me!
I'd never rely on what insurance says. Your policy may consider road hazards differently that collision. And you can always make a claim of say $15k and not total it! Remember, they are not on your side.
