I have an '01 996 Turbo that I want to replace the rear calipers on. The current ones have become a bit off-colored and I want ones that are in excellent condition.

Can you just paint or powedercoat the calibers?

 

I could but I'd be concerned they weren't perfect Porsche red with the right lettering. I'd also wonder how they'd hold up to heat.

 

I have used caliper paint to paint my other cars and so far (7yrs) the paint has not deteriorated due to heat. I am going to powdercoat my calipers next year and going to get stickers from SunCoast. I also have an 01 and the paint is peeling and discoloring....AND I HATE THEM...
