VF Engineering SC Kit For Sale
Category: Engine - Power Adders
Price: $6000
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo
Location (State): MD
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped
The Kit was on a 2005 Carrera S "Launch Edition". The car is currently at TPC having their new single Turbo System installed. I really liked the Supercharger on the car. It had a very smooth power delivery and never gave any problems. The VF Engineering Kit is a great power adder and has a progressive power delivery when driving. I rarely noticed that the car was anything other than stock.
I was looking for more options when adding power to the car. The supercharger would need different pulleys in order to get more power when I wanted it. With TPC, I will be able to turn a **** at a red light and have an extra 50hp immediately.
The kit is in great shape with a small rub spot on the supercharger itself from the engine lid cover. If you look closely at the picture of my car in the TPC Turbo thread you can see where they rubbed each other.
I am selling it for less than half of a new one from VF Engineering. You will need to send your ECU back to VF for a flash which is part of the reason. TPC also decided to use the front radiator for cooling. A new replacement can be purchased for $184 from Pelican Parts. All you need then is some rubber hoses to have a complete kit.
If you have been following CATTMAN and his very detailed install of the VF SC KIT he purchased, it should not be to hard to DIY.
As stated earlier the price is $6000 shipped.
Thanks,
Adam

Hey Adam,
Just to help you out so whoever you sell this kit too doesn't get upset with you..........
Don't forget that you will need the water pump/relay and some wire to push the water through the IC lines!
I also noticed you are missing the main vacuum line in the pic,you may want to get in touch with VF for that too.....it is a pricey part!
Once it is complete this IS a great price for adding power.....I know I spent almost this much on exhaust alone.....and this WILL add power!
GL with the sale,
Stacy

Vf sc kit
Thanks Stacey,
I am sure TPC has those parts in a box somewhere next to the car. I will check this week and post the results when I get the answer from Tom Chan.

parts
Hey Stacey,
I spoke with Tom Chan and he assured me that he does have the parts that are not shown in the original picture.
I am getting them next week and will post pictures.
The third radiator will still have to be purchased separately.
Thanks,
Adam

The VF-E SC is the best mod there is, and used kits are pretty rare. I've seen used kits go for as much as $7,500 complete, and Adam's, even with the extra parts I note below, is well below that. Any kit will require the ECU tune, so don't factor that in for comparison.
As Adam notes, this kit needs a few parts:
-Goodyear coolant lines ($400 from VF-E)
-Bosch extra quiet water pump
-OEM center radiator ($184 pelican)
-OEM front radiator adapter/ shroud ($29 suncoast)
-VF-E main vacuum line (cost unknown)
-VF-E GIAC ECU tune ($1000)
-Optional smaller pulleys for more power are about $80 each
Someone should jump on this, come on!
With a 3.4" pulley and some other minor tweaks you're at near 500 hp, very linear and easy to drive. I've fallen back in love with my car after this!
Just to help Adam and whoever buys this, I will offer my help on install via parts list, tips, etc.
Good luck with the sale, Adam. I'm here to help whoever buys it with the install.
