You could get an X50 flash and probably be ready to go, but very few people would do that. The real thing to do is first have these modified into K24/18G turbos, and then get a flash.

You'd need little more than a flash, and an aftermarket exhaust to help her breathe easier.
if money is a non-issue, then the hybrid turbos will get you from point A to B faster. However, to get the most out of a 18/24, one should consider things such as: 60 lb injectors, supplemental fuel pump, intercoolers, intake, exhaust, MAF, and a host of other upgrades--parts and labor costs a ton.
Going the flashed K24 route will decisively up your fun factor from stock K16 config. This ups your baseline and provides a solid jump off point for future upgrades. These turbos can be modified as mentioned above.
All in all, you still have the option to do more if the flashed X50 is still not fast enough
Plus, these things are like new. $1500 shipped!!!!!!
