2009 18" Stock Carrera Wheels - FS in the next couple months.

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $0
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo
Location (State): GA
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

My 2009 CPO Carrera 997.2 was about a year old when I got it and 8700 miles. I have almost 9000 miles on it now. The rear tires are about 40% tread left I'm guessing?

Up here int he GA mountains it doesn't snow until first or second week of February... so I'd like to get some new rubber just after Christmas.

I was entertaining the idea of buying Max's black wheels.... but the wife doesn't like black. Then another fellow had some Champion wheels... both wheels would need repair.

I decided just to buy new 19" rims from Wheel Dynamics... the 808's.

So, when I pull the trigger on this, I won't need my old 18" ones... I've been told that some folks like the 18"'s for track use... I do not plan to track my car so I thought I'd give a heads up that they will be available soon.

Absolutely no road rash whatsoever... they are pristine like the showroom floor.... you can even have them with the worn Michellin Sport Pilots...

I have no idea what to ask for them... according to Eli in Cali, shipping cross country would be about $40 bucks a wheel. I'd rather do a face to face sale in Atlanta (I'm about 90 minutes north, but willing to drive to deliver)...

So, if interested, I'd like to give y'all a heads up and entertain some possible future offers if the moon's aligned right for all of us

Thanks,
Mark

If you hold or know someone with an volume account then most places in the US will run around $40 on average. If you walk it to the UPS store then it can be $65 so just find someone with a shipping account you can work with so you're not killing the deal on shipping fees...

It would be best to have a customer in California so we can have them shipped here and picked up....

Post a price and get these puppies sold in advance...

I can use my shipping account but would need all the dims and weights, and of course the payment to cover...

If you bought the 18" OEM wheels from FinishLineWheels... they'd be $219 for the fronts and $239 for the rears (each).

http://www.finishlinewheels.com/PORS...09/A-67362U20/

That's $916 total... however mine have TPMS that I will leave installed. TPMS will cost you $400-500 bucks, so now we're up to $1300-1400... I still have the Michelin Sport Pilots that I planned on leaving on too (they're pretty much spent for any winter driving which is why I need new rubber/rims before end of January when it typically starts snowing here... But for California, hey, you can get a few thousand miles out of them still or have fun smokin' them.

Thank you Eli for your generous offer to have them shipped to you with your account for $40 bucks a wheel as I will be getting my new rims and rubber from you...

I'll pay shipping to you Eli (IF we can find a local cali buyer near you)....

I wouldn't mind keeping the OEM wheels myself to put back on the car when I sell it in 2 years as I'm hoping to upgrade to a Turbo S when my dental practice is paid off... but right now, selling the OEM's would greatly help take a chunk out of the new wheels from Eli which will cost over $3K.

So... here's a number: $850 shipped to Eli where you can pick up. Or $900 shipped to you (I figure a little more as I will have to pay shipping).

My Rims are pristine, absolutely no road rash... the rims have about 9000 miles on them and I only put about 200 miles/month on the car as a daily driver (I know its sad, now that I have a Porsche, wish I had a longer commute!).

I drive all of 8 miles round trip to work each day.

$850... is that still too ridiculous? Seriously, I have no idea what's fair or expected?

Good fortune smiled on me today, I've got a credit with the local tire guys that I've been bartering with for the last 7 years... I didn't know I've got a credit with them and will be getting the rubber for free now

SO, I ordered the 808's from ELI today...

Tell ya what, here's my bottom line....

$750 for the rims and you pick up locally Atlanta... Birmingham,AL or Chatanooga,TN I'll meet you half way... or, you pay shipping if you have a business with a great low cost shipping account.

Else, $900 for the rims/rubber/TPMS and I'll pay shipping on my end.
