They are not modified. See the below link on the Garrett website. They are optioned with a 3" inlet and .63 turbine housing. The pair can easily produce 750HP at low boost and support up to 1050HP.

Hey Chris,
Do you have anything in the 24/18 range used? Looking for 600 hp or so.

What exhaust are you running these days?

John

Hi John, long time no see. I hope all is well with your family and with work.

What I have for 600HP range is a pair of clean used Garrett GT2860RS turbos. They are faster spooling than 24/18s and can produce up to 700HP. You have the option of either internal WG with T25 flange or external WG with T3 flange. You will need appropriate headers or modify the stock ones, coolant lines, oil line adapters, and exhaust adapters. They may be more involved than you wanted, but what a sweet setup it is.

Chris,

I've PM'ed FVD to see if they have programming for these. How expensive are:

1. internal WG with T25 flange
2. external WG with T3 flange.
3. appropriate headers or modify the stock ones (have k16 headers now)
4. coolant lines, oil line adapters, and exhaust adapters
5. Intercoolers? (still have the small k16 ones)

Family is fine. We adopted another little girl from Russia 2 years ago. We both had employment issues during the depression (wife was out 13 mths, 2 for me...but took a pay cut), but with $4.00 gas I get calls every day.

Just replaced both side radiators ($1,700) and had a boost problem fixed by replacing a pressure valve.

bump for great turbo setup. Overlooked by many because they will not bolt on but any shop worth there salt can install them.

I doubt fvd has a program for either the 2860s or 3076s

I know that GIAC has a great program for the 2860s.
