These wheels are as close to perfect without calling them "new". There is absolutely no curbing, repairs, touchups, etc... They are as nice as they were new out of the box. These are the natural metal finish with the special ordered raw polished lips which means never any clear flaking, hazing, finish issues, etc... Just polish and go. Amazingly, I've polished the lips once with Mother's polish, and after 12 or so washes, they still shine with no spotting or need for anything other than your typical drying off.
These wheels are absolutely stunning in person. The rears are deep as can be. The stepped lips really add a new dimension. No clearance issues whatsoever. No need for rolled fenders. They're ready to go. If you need specific pictures, let me know. $3,500 was my asking price without the tires originally, but I need to sell these as I no longer have a P-Car to fit.
This set was originally purchased from Wheels Boutique a year ago. I still have the original boxes and packing that will also be used to pack and ship this set. It gets no better than this. Super strong! Super lightweight! Steal of a price!!!
Local pickup is welcome. Shipping will run around $200 I'm guessing. I'll ship in the original HRE boxes!
I will only ship within the continental US however. Thanks!
You are absolutely right!!! I hate to give them up actually! By the way, I'll be going with HRE's for the Lambo. I certainly wish these would fit! I can say nothing more accurate to describe my experience with HRE but "superior" as far as quality, style and performance. Top notch!
Per one of the forum discussions, the differences between the 996TT and 997TT stock offsets are the following:
"Fronts are 56mm vs 50 (on the 996)......but also 997s are 8.5Js so 1/2" wider than 996.
Rears are 51mm vs 45 (on the 996)......both on 11Js. "
With that being said, it looks like the rears would be no problem at all. The fronts clear with no issues or rubbing with the HRE's on a 997 (19x9 ET45), but I would measure your clearance with the stock wheels on the front of your 996TT with the current wheels to see how much space you have between the fender and the tire. Also, the front tires are 235's, so the width of the tire will not be a problem as long as the lip of the wheels is not sticking past the fender.
1 inch = 25.4mm
If you factor the half inch difference in width between the 997TT and 996TT rims, and divide in half for clearance to the outside, the difference is 6.35mm, so essentially the same as that of the 997TT. However, also check to make sure you have an extra half inch or so on the inside between the tire and wheel well or springs to ensure no potential for clearance issues.
If I'm not mistaken, I've seen guys run more extreme offsets and widths on 996TT's than this. I'll try to find some examples.

On my 19" BBS LM's that I'm running now I've got them offset (with spacers) at +40 in the front on the 8.5" wheels and +33 in the back on the 11" wheels so I'm thinking I may be good with your wheels?
Here's an excellent reference. The offsets on the rear of the below mentioned car are extreme which shows there is more than enough clearance with 19x12's and ET 56 (the HRE's would sit approximately 3/4 of an inch closer to the car), and the fronts look like they have more than enough room for an additional 6mm. Also, I believe the front tires on this car may be wider than the 235's I'm running.
Also, per the following, GT2 wheels are 8.5" wide front and 12" wide rear.
"...the fronts are more aggressive-
The 996tt have 50mm fronts and 45mm rears for offsets!
The GT2's have 40mm fronts and 45mm rears!"
Again, these are for 18" vs. 19", but I'm not sure if that would make a difference since the tire widths are smaller than what some are runnning on their GT2 setups.

Hope this helps!
