How old are the tires (age)? Are you sure they are not 295/30/18 in the rear? I don't think 295/35/19 was the proper size for a 996....

Fronts 18x8 ET50 Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40/18
Rears 18x11 ET63 Michelin Pilot Sport 295/30/18

The tires are date coded from the end of 2004 but were stored unmounted. The rubber appears brand new with no sign of cracking, aging, etc.

 

What kind of pilot sport are the tires? That tread pattern is not that of a PS2. Is this the PS3 or the super sport?

 

They are the previous style of Pilot Sports AKA PS1. They still dig in hard

Do you still have the Technosports available? Quick question. Since the rears utilize the Porsche 17mm spacers with the studs and black lugvnuts, do the fronts also utilize matching studs with black lug nuts or just the regular lug bolts? If the fronts use lug bolts, are they black to match the rear?
