Original Porsche Tequipment Roll bar part # 996.701.980.00. Since this version of the roll bar does not have the cross brace it allows access to the rear seats. Looks great and adds protection also. The bar is in like new condition with no scratches. It fits in all 996 Coupes and I believe also 997 coupes but I would verify that. $875 plus $50 shipping CONUS.

Will this bar fit a 997 Cabrio with adaptive sport seats? Without restricting pushing the seat all the way rearwards or limiting reclining the back (tall driver & must haves so I can fit in the car). If so, will purchase & pay shipping to Long Island, NY.

 

It will fit a 997 but I have no idea about the recline with your seats. I know in a 996 with the sport seats the recline and rearward adjustment is somewhat limited. I am 5'10" and have another 2" or so of rearward seat movement but I can't recline the seat all the way. I am not sure if there is any bar out there that will allow full rear seat movement or full recline. Hope that helps...

 

I still have it in my car as I was looking to replace it with a full roll bar but haven't gotten around to it. I am in no hurry to get rid of it as I haven't had time to pull it out of the car but if you want then PM me around thanksgiving.
