these calipers come up in the catalog for models with ceramic brakes. can they be used on cars with regular brakes?

Yes, no problem

It's fit on 996 for
- TT/GT2
- GT3 MKI or II
- 4S

It don't fit on 996 C2/C4 unless you change the carrier wheel

Off course, with steel disks and the good brake pads.
In fact it's exactly the same as the red one except it's yelllow

You put it on 996TT with steel disk from 997TT.
It's PnP, direct bolt on. You don't have to modify anything.

No you don't need anything else, it's PnP.

The PN of your actual calipers are 99635142910/99635143010
This calipers are the same one as 996TT-GT2/996GT3 MKI/9964S

It's meaning that the fixing point from the wheels carrier for the brake calipers are 142mm...et voila!

You just have to buy a pair of steel rotors and brake pads from 997TT MKI and it's done, you're ready to go.
