I am the second owner and never got around to installing them. Original owner bought them new from AWE-Tuning in April 2008.

Detailed summary/description/condition of the cats:

From the original owner:

"First, the cats perform perfectly. There are no unusual sounds or
rattles in the exhaust note. They provide a very clean low sound and
add perceptible torque to the engine.

I noticed after removing them that when standing one of the cats
straight up and down and then rotating it 180 degrees you can hear the
catalyst section (in the bubbled out part of the tubing) shift
slightly maybe 2-3mm. It doesn't rattle or sound broken. I'm probably
making too much of this but wanted to be entirely honest will the
sell. I wouldn't hesitate to reinstall these back on my car if I
weren't selling it.

I know the cats aren't "broken" because they sound and function
beautifully. There were never any CEL light from the oxygen sensors."

I’ve got several pieces of good news for you, here goes:

· There’s no need to upgrade you to HJS Cats as you already have them.
· The “looseness” you found will not affect the function or sound of your cats so there’s nothing to worry about and subsequently, nothing that is warrantable.

In short, if you weren’t getting engine codes when you took them off your old vehicle, there’s little likelihood of that occurring on your new install.
