I would think that the twin would be better thAn the triple far as the engagement point. Please post your thoughts once installed..

I had half of that, like elite1 has. If it would have been 1" I probably would have adjusted to the clutch, but 1/2 inch is damn hard to drive in traffic.
I wonder why you have 100% more travel. elite1 has the GT2 mod and I have not. We both have a very high friction point and only 1/2 inch of travel, so what's the difference?
Prodigymb's car doesn't seem to have problems with that clutch, as far as I can tell from the video of his dyno run.

I just got my car up and running with this clutch installed. (997 turbo). I have the exact issue you had. I've been driving for 35 years, and drove for 12 of those years professionally. I can't take off from a stop without stalling 3 or 4 times even if I ride the crap out of it. It's embarrassing..... Taking off from a light at 4500 rpm and letting the clutch out over 5 seconds. There is nothing, nothing, nothing, chatter, 100% engagement from about 1/8" to the next.
I spoke to Cary and he said he'd fix the clutch for me if I sent it in but I'm not too excited to pull the clutch back out after I just spent 2+ months working on the car to put it all back together. I'm trying to get the tuning set up on the car and to start enjoying it for the year and now I have to put it back on the hoist and spend another 10 hours to fix this.

You bought an old version of the clutch from another person. Some people have had issues that are fixed now. Technically the clutches only carry 6 months warranty for something like this and only to original owners. Cary is extending a courtesy to you because I asked him to. Just pull the thing out and get it fixed, should only take 3 hrs second time around to pull it out
Just frustrated with how long this entire project has taken...... I thought I was "finally" ready to tune and enjoy it and another kick to the nuts. I am really glad Cary's willing to fix it for me, thanks for your help!

Mine is still on the desk. How can I distinguish a fixed clutch from mine? What has changed?

It really comes down to when you bought it. The early ones like me and Tim had were perfect. Then the hub got redesigned to try and improve it more and that's where things got iffy and those are the units that some people had issues with. I drove the newest design and it it drove great . You can literally take off smooth without using the gas. It still grabs high but so does my sachs 2.5 in the 997 and some other aftermarket units I've tried. Best thing to address that is the RSS clutch stop.
