I have available a brand new IPD Intake Plenum for Porsche Cars. This replaces the stock factory plastic T-style with a much improved cast aluminum Y-style for much better inhaling into the engine. Better because the Y air path is less turbulent & has better flow. This version has the factory applied epoxy-coated interior (red) to smooth out all the microscopic metal surface imperfections. The result is increased throttle response, increased air flow, and as a result, more horsepower - best of all, it doesn't require an ECU reflash or cause CEL errors - the car's Air Mass Meter will automatically compensate for the increased airflow and deliver more fuel, which is how it results in more horsepower. If you have a modified, less-restrictive exhaust, even better. This is the 74mm version that fits 997.1 or 996 cars with either the 3.4, 3.6, or 3.8 liter engines. It does not require a different throttle body or any other modifications to the car in order to install and work properly. It is not compatible with Turbo, 997.2, or Boxster or Caymans.

You can find more information searching other Rennlist or 6speedonline posts for IPD Plenum or from IPD's website directly. After installation, it's recommended to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 20 minutes which will cause the ECU to remap the air/fuel info and optimize the engine to use the increased airflow available from this simple, yet very effective, modification.

I bought this to install in my 997.1 C2S that has a RUF Supercharger kit on it and didn't realize until I went to install it this weekend that RUF completely changed the factory intake structure as part of this kompressor upgrade, so it won't actually work in my modified car.

These cost anywhere from $850-$950 on eBay and are $895 from IPD directly. Here's your chance to get the same product in brand new condition and save a few hundred dollars.

Shipment will be made within 24 hours of receiving PayPal payment. Thanks.

IPD Plenum

I have packed it up and it's ready to be shipped. I've also included illustrated installation instructions from a different thread, but it looks very simple and shouldn't take more than 60-90 minutes.

I've had a number of serious inquiries as it's also listed on Rennlist, so if it's an update you want, I wouldn't wait too long.

Let me know.
