These wheels came on a Turbo S I bought back in summer of 2007. The car had 10k miles and so did the wheels. I changed wheels quickly on the car and the wheels retired in my storage until I decided to mount up some new rubber on them and take them to a weekend DE Last Nov 2011 and had a little spin and hit a blunt curb with the front driver side wheel and tire. The wheel broke at the outer rim(might be able to be fixed but certainly I would not do any aggressive driving on it after repair).

I searched around to find a replacement used wheel and to my shock, was quoted some $1,200 from Wheel Enhancement and saw others on ebay listed for anywhere from $750 to $950 for one used front wheel for the turbo same as the damaged one.

I decided that I could buy a used set of Hollow twists in the $750-$950 range for 4 wheels and did that instead. Now I am selling my TT so the wheels have to go. I will post good photos of each wheel tomorrow but for now you get the idea of what they look like on the red Turbo S.

I have these wheels painted black on my TT - love them. That's easily half the price I've seen sets sell for in the last few months.

If sold separately I would take $399 for the good front and $499 for each good rear and $149 for the broken front wheel.

No center caps and I think they are metal valve stems.

wheel front damaged

 

I am going to have a reputable wheel repair shop repair the damaged front wheel and will post photos when done. I will still honor the current asking price.

 

Going to pick up wheel tomorrow. Completely repairable and they tell me they took a wheel they had that matched this one and cut off a section of that wheel and then a section of the damaged wheel and fused/welded them together and reinforced the wheel.

They said drive it like I stole it. The damage has been disclosed above in photos and I wll post photos of the repaired wheel this weekend.

Sold my dd and now my 03 TT is going to be my dd so might just pwdr coat these in gun metal grey or satin or polish black and keep them as a second set for my tt if not sold soon.

 

Powder coating these in Atlas Grey and going to slap them on my 996tt.
