An interesting and cheap fix, to be sure.

However, you can have a dealer or specialist shop just disable the warning via software as well. When I put 997 GT3 seats into my Cayman they turned off the side bolster airbags and passenger weight sensor so it doesn't throw warnings anymore.

Why mess with software when you can disable and able it just by pushing a button? Haha
