Front LED DRL Fog Lights
I bought one set off of an eBay seller - VD Cool I think and the other from Nello at Maxspeed Motorsports (also bought the current sensing DRL module from Maxspeed). I hooked them up a custom way with a current sensing DRL module through an SPDT relay so that I could have the middle fiber optic section illuminate automatically whenever the car is running as the DRL, using the bright individual LEDs as the Fog Lights (1 click out on the headlight switch) and the Amber ones as the turn signals.
Because I hooked them up this way, the only issue I get is a check right front side and check left front side light error, but it's only when I used the headlights, not during the daytime when the DRLs are functioning, probably because the relay confuses the signal back to the car module. At some point I may put some diode's inline to see if keeping the current from going back might eliminate it, but it's not high on my list.
The 2nd set I haven't installed yet, but that one will be done normally since it's for my wife's car, but it's at the painter getting full custom color paintjob and those will be going into a Vorsteiner Front Bumper. Here are a couple photos of mine on my RUF R-Kompressor car. One shows just the DRL center portion illuminated and the other both the DRL and LED Fog Lights Illuminated. I also have the Rear LED lights and have used 3 different sets of these from Spyder with no Light errors at all. Also, here's the link to the DIY I published showing the custom wiring install with the Relay that I put together and it has a link to a YouTube video I did that shows the current sensing module functioning and illuminating the center fiber optic portion.
