Selling my recently built 996tt engine. This is complete less turbos. It was recently built up to handle more power adding Pauter rods and EVOms head studs. Parts and labor where 17K (receipts will be included in sale of build). The heads where freshened up, new seals/gaskets everywhere, new H20 pump. coolant fittings are welded in, new OEM piston rings, etc.

I had about 3K miles on the engine until a recent house fire destroyed the front half of the car. This is your chance to have a built up, like new engine without waiting 6 months having your car down. This motor will probably handle well over 1000hp with no worries of bending a rod.

Wow, that really sucks! ttpopo may be a good candidate for this. He blew up his engine not too long ago; not sure if he found another one in the meantime.

No compression #s since Im not able to run it. Car ran perfect though and was very powerful. It was built by maxrpm in bremerton,wa by Alex. You can call and ask about it if you would like he can give anyone the run down on it. He has built a few 996tt motors and was the only one I could trust do the job in the NW.

Don, are the heads ported at all?
And we're the hydraulic lifters replaced with the newer version?

 

Nik, I believe the heads where given a light port. I am not sure abotu the lifters.

As of right now I am thinking of rebuilding the car and converting the car to a 997tt body. Would be a great track car. I am back and forth everyday on whether to part it or rebuild it.

Bobby, I believe vivid has a complete but partially unassembled 4.0 stroker motor for 13k in the vendor section - FYI

 

I think it's cheaper then that.
