$SOLD in the CONUS for a Remus exhaust with loose packing in the left muffler.

When I pulled this exhaust to get it ready to ship, I noticed the packing in the left muffler would swish around when I shook the muffler. The packing does not protrude into the flow path or anything, its just loose in between the perforated pipe and muffler wall. The right muffler is rock solid. I never noticed any issues or performance degradation when it was on my car.

A few options for prospective buyers:

-Install it and don't worry about it, with the understanding the you may eventually have to repack the left muffler.

-Repack the muffler if you've got some DIY skills and/or someone in the fab/exhaust business. You would have to cut, repack and reweld the muffler. Packing materials are ~$40 from Burns.

Info on the exhaust...this is the "sportier" version that comes with 100 cell cats, a very high flowing system with 2.75" piping. Mild drone in the usual mid 2000rpm/ high gear/ high load situations but generally a mellow tone. Cats are in good shape. Though not pictured, it comes with the mounting clamps. A few typical scrapes on the bottom of the muffler cans but not noticeable once installed.

Back in the day, people would pay this price for just the tips!

what does the loose packing do? does it make it rattle or sound bad?
