Hey Doug, there is no serial number on the softronic that I know of. Basically, it's a blank cable until it's plugged in to your cars computer then its locked in to your VIN. We can ask Dan at Vivid to verify. I'm located in Los Angeles but from Rancho Penasquitos in San Diego.
