I'm not a 100% sure but aren't they supposed to be locked in to your car's VIN?

Once you plug it into your ECU then yes. Mine has not so it's not locked into a VIN yet.

LMFAO @ 34hp from a tune. Especially when the other ones on the market that cost the same only net about 10-15 hp.

Go crap on somebody else's thread. If you're not interested, there is no need for you to post on here. First of all, There are dyno sheets that support the HP increase, though I can not speak for other tunes out there, each car is different and output will vary from car to car. 34hp increase is possible but a bit over zealous, not everyone will get that depending on the current mods they have. I expect at least a 15-25hp increase with just exhaust and intake and headers.

The link you posted claims 34bhp from the tune only. The only dyno they have posted shows a 10-13whp gain. Do you have a dyno sheet that backs up their claims?

EDIT: And the next part is even funnier.

3.8L Tuned with Performance Muffler - 421BHP and 341ft/lbs

So the carrera S is only a tune and a "performance muffler" away from making 12 more WHP than a stock GT3? RLY?

I think this is not fair.

The "parts for sale forum", is not the right place to discuss whether the claims of a vendor are true or not.
The seller does not claim anything.
He does not make this tune.
Softronic does.

The seller simply states what Softronic advertises and nothing more.
What is wrong with that ?

Softronic is one of the leading tuners for Porsche.

Anyway, if you are not interested, why post here ?
Start a thread where the appropriate forum is and "ask Softronic".

Just my 0.02

Free bump for a good product ( 34 hp or not ).

Joe,

I'd be interested if I can verify from Softronics that it is unused.

Absolutely. You can email Dan@vividracing.com as I have yet to jump on a call with him to help me install it. I purchased it from them, and I'm sure they can verify that it has NEVER been installed...I just haven't had the time.

Willing to work with you to ensure that and gain your trust. Let me know!
