Sounds like somebody had a motor they needed to sell and sold you on "louder tick IMS problems"...

 

not sure what your getting at. Car was seen by two very reputable shops. We tried the oil change and cleaning the tensioners. had no change. Tell tail sign was the bit of metal in the oil filter. I will post a video of the ticking. It got worse as the car got warmer. and its through the entire rev band. had no cels. car boosted fine. but from the driver timing case area it was crazy loud. Loud here you know its doing damage. At Speed Motorsport has the car in Hanover MD. They are very knowledgable and I have full faith in them.

sounds like could be a lifter that went bad..Could be a great deal for someone to buy and a cheap fix..
