Leather-covered and stitched Sport Chrono gauge pod with manual boost gauge

Category: Accessories
Price: $100
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 996 Turbo, Porsche Cayenne
Location (State): FL
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

I purchased this to install in my 955 Cayenne, but I ended up selling it before I installed it. This gauge pod was $350 alone and cost upwards of $500 from the dealer. The gauge itself is a standard Autometer Sport-Comp II boost gauge, so it is universal in application.

It has been sitting in my garage new and unused. $100 shipped. Thanks.

Is that the same POD used in the sport chrono option of a 997.1 or different for the Cayenne?

Yes it is a 997 sport chrono pod. The 995 Cayenne did not have an option for one. I was planning on modifying dash to make it work but sold the car.

As a point of clarification, the gauge is firmly adhered to the pod pretty well with a generous bead of silicone, so I don't think trying to separate the two would be wise.

If I can figure out how to get it to reflect boost from my RUF supercharger, I'll take it. How does it hook up - hose, sending unit, etc? What does the bottom look like? Thanks.

It's a manual boost gauge so you just need to run a vacuum line and power for the lighting of the gauge if you wish. Here is the manual for the gauge: http://www.autometer.com/media/manual/2650-1134-00.pdf

As far as how you mount on your dash, you'll have to cut something more than likely but it will look nice when complete.

I got some input from Tom at TPC and looks like I could use it so I was just about to post that I'd take it, but guess I was too late. I have a spare leather sport chrono and can just buy a similar gauge so I'm not too disappointed or may just do a P3 vent gauge which will be a lot less work.

Anyway, glad you sold it.

spi89 is infamous around these parts
Hi to all!
Just some info from @PianoProdigy or anyone who knows! Which is the diameter of the gauge that can be placed inside the hole of the pod? Or more specifically, which is the diameter of the hole of the pod?
Thanks in advance.
