997 Carbon Fiber Dipped OEM Parts

Category: Interior
Price: $1800
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits: Porsche 911 997 Turbo, Porsche 911 997 Non-Turbo
Location (State): CA
Item Condition: Brand New
Shipping Information: Item can be shipped

All of these parts are OEM parts carbon fiber hydro dipped and then clear coated. For those unfamiliar with this process, here is a description:

It is a gel paint with a pattern. You float the gel which is embedded in matrix in a tank of heated water. Remove the backing with a chemical, and spray on a activator chemical for adhesion.

Benefits to this is you dont have to worry about the carbon cracking, fading, peeling, turning colors, etc.

The reason for sale is i had 2 of everything done, so im selling one set.

$2200 shipped for it all. If you were to buy these parts in real carbon fiber, you would be looking at 3200 from DB Carbon, and even more from MaCarbon.

How realistic does that look in comparison to real carbon fiber when your sitting right next to it?

Can you provide a list of parts. Some look unfamiliar. Are these only interior parts?

These parts are all from my 997 GT3

List:

Center console
Center console banana
Center console ash tray
Front center console
Instrument cluster surround
Drivers side dash strips
Drivers side trim under instrument cluster
Steering column surround
B piller seat belt trim opening
Door rectangle trim (goes by speaker grills on door)

Also whoever buys this, if you have additional interior pieces you want done, I can have them done for an additional cost.

Wish you had the complete trim (passenger side). I would have loved to get this from you, but how will I match the trim on passenger side. My interior trim is silver, and this would be great to transfer the entire look to CF finish.

This water print effect is unreal! Saw it on "wheeler dealers" TV show when they did some carbon fiber printing for range rover trim, looked sick! fraction of the price of actual carbon fiber. The entire range rover trim print cost 200 pounds i believe.

Pretty cool, although enlarging the photos and inspecting them, the pattern looks good, but it doesn't appear to have the same visual depth of real CF - maybe it's just the photos. Could post a picture of a true CF part next to one of these dipped parts? I would think that you couldn't mix hydro dipped parts with real CF parts and have them look right. I also don't think they'll have the same surface durability as true CF - more like regular interior painted parts (like OEM aluminum look pieces).

I wouldn't mix and match, that's why I'm offering to whoever buys this if they want additional stuff done for a bit more. The visual depth is a bit different, I'll find a pic. As for durability I would say it's as good or better than cf parts. So many people have cracked their center consoles leaning over them or putting weight on them. There are several layers of automotive clear on these as well.

I could easily have the passenger trim done and any other additional parts. I'd have to adjust the cost depending on how many additional parts were done but wouldn't be that difficult.

Yes the cross pattern is different. This was done with 2x2 weave. The nice thing is you don't have to worry about cracking like with oem and some aftermarket cf parts
