I recently swapped out the B&M short shifter in the factory 996 housing (996.424.010) that was installed by a prior owner about 6-7,000 miles ago. Has both cable fasteners attached. Should bolt in to 996, 997, Boxster and Cayman. Unit is in very good shape.

I decided to put in a factory 997 shifter for a bit more smoothness of shifting, especially in colder weather.
