why not? i have 2 sets of deist harnesses and they (deist) recert mine with all new webbing and tags everything but the metal parts were replaced for 90$ each.

why wouldn't schroth do the same thing?

 

Technically you had them replaced. Recertification suggests that they sent you the exact same material you sent in but put their stamp of approval saying it's good to go for another 5 years. They can't do that. I guess it's just a matter of semantics to say "recertify".

 

its how its called on their website. you send them your belts you get new belts with your hardware back and new sewn in tags. 90$ over 300 ill do that every day. this is a good deal for these belts i would call schroth and ask them if you need certs

 

Got it. I have talked to Schroth recently. I don't know if they would do the same procedure but that would be awesome. Just don't say the word recertify. if you ask them about re certifying your existing belts (i.e. old webbing) their answer is an emphatic NO. I may call again today to inquire about new webbing and tags.

 

it worked out great for me. i bought 2 sets in red expired for 125$ sent them in requested black webbing and cost me 180$ so $305 for 2 complete 6 point cam lock harnesses with new sewn in tags
