You are purchasing a brand new Genuine Porsche boot and bonnet release switch. This is the electrical switch that sits at the side of the seat in the sill that is used to open the bonnet and the boot or the bonnet and the engine lid in the case of a 997.

Will fit the following models -

987 Boxster Gen 1 and Gen 2 from 2005 onwards.

Porsche Cayman Gen 1 and Gen 2 from 2006 onwards.
