I ended up buying 2 FVD systems simultaneously. These I bought off a fellow Rennlist member last month and had only been used 200 miles by him. I installed to test for about 100 miles and can confirm that they definitely improve the sound over stock considerably imho.

There is no drone at all, but they are deeper sounding than stock (definitely not obnoxious) especially at low to mid revs. But they really howl at high revs.
If you like even more volume, they can be installed with a SherkWerks bypass and then they are really aggressive sounding (but still deep).

If you're thinking about a gundo hack this would be a great alternative, allowing you to either keep or sell your oem mufflers.
They give a more aggressive sound with zero drone, and these are almost brand new. See date stamp on pics.

 

Weekend bump - there is a 997.2 out there waiting to come to life with these

 

I have a 997.2 GTS. Would the valve system still work with these mufflers? I drive with it open at all times but prefer to have the option to quiet the exhaust as well.

 

Free Bump for a great system, IMO, the BEST for the 997.2, sound, fit and finish is unbeatable!

Not sure what happened there - apologies.

What I was saying is that the PSE Mufflers have the valve built into them. Therefore if you replace them with these, you will get better/more aggressive sound (imho) but you will not have the option to use the button to silence them.
