Selling Recaro Pole Position seats that came in the 996 turbo I just purchased...beautiful seats but they just don't fit my 6'2" 240lb body.
Original owner bought them, then paid to have them done with custom b/w houndstooth cloth centers, and drove less than 1000 street miles on them. They are in pristine to like new condition.
Price lowered to $2500
- Recaro Pole Position black velour (redone in bw/houndstooth)
- Recaro steel seat adaptors
- Recaro Sliders
- CMS seat mount adaptors for 996
Would prefer to find local pickup in San Francisco bay area, but will ship for the right buyer.

Willing to sell for $3000. Would prefer to find local pickup in San Francisco bay area, but may be able to ship for the right seats in trade. Willing to trade towards excellent to pristine condition sport seats.

You can check the original 996 TT owners threads where he claims a couple of times to have $5k into these (and realize how new these are - little miles in them). I guess you must know him to be an exaggerator and me too gullible? Perhaps so.
Anyhow, an idea...why don't you PM me with what your "realistic number" is?
These seats are worth asking price, given their condition and with the custom b/w houndstooth.

Guys, these are pristine...and clearly a rare find in this condition with a custom b/w houndstooth theme.
If I better fit in them (or autocrossed/tracked much), I'd be keeping them.

Actually, that seems plausible to me. I paid almost $1000 to have a carbon fiber racing seat covered in black suede, and I didn't pay top dollar. I know there were other places that would have charged me more. If you figure the seat alone is $1K, by the time you factor in shipping, taxes, mounts/sliders, and what could be over $1K for custom upholstery work, it's not that hard to come up with an all-in cost per seat of nearly $2500.
Just to chime in on the deal you have here. It's a great deal. I have a hook up w/ my friend's shop and i get 15% off and when you factor in shipping etc for the brackets/sliders etc you're over his asking price. Plus this is a truly unique pair of seats.
